Hi, my name is Jes and I'm the author. I wanted to let you know why I wrote this book, and furthermore, what makes me the ideal guide on the path of lesbian dating. First, let me clarify that this book can be helpful for lesbians, bisexuals, men, women, nonbinary folks and anyone else. In my experience, the main thing you need to be successful is clean hair and a good attitude. All kidding aside, successful dating has two components that both have a learning curve.

I have been on 450 dates in 10 years. It's not an exact count, but it's around that number. I started out just wanting to explore myself, my likes and dislikes, and who I was as a person. It's hard to do that in a relationship and many of us never got to do that in our most formative years. After years of copying the heterosexual dating rulebook, I decided that if I was going to be part of the deviant members of society, I would deviate in a big way.

Enter the lesbian smorgasbord of the city of Boston. Countless college students, grad students, visiting tourists, and an amazing array of things to do and places to go meet like-minded people and I was sold - dating was going to be my new hobby. And so it began.

Writing the book was a dream come true, and some few years after publication, Amazon came out with its Vella service.
